AIRCRAFT CRASH AT TIBTHORPE

Post by rockhouse » Thu Nov 27, 2003 1:06 am

I am trying to find information on a crash at Tibthorpe of an aircraft from RAF Driffield in the late 1930's. The pilot was Ronald Marshall from Richmond in North Yorkshire. I should also like any other information on Ronald that anyone has.

rockhouse.

Have just found your request, The aircraft concerned was HANDLEY PAGE HARROW Mk2 K6995 of 75 Sqdn. RAF DRIFFIELD, crashed attempting to land in foggy conditions just after midnight on 5th April 1938.
The crew of 5 were all killed.

I visited the site in February 2001 and found small pieces of debris still lying on the ground, if you require the full crew list or other information please contact me

ROD - I realise that it has been sometime since I first posted on this site but if the offer of information on the crash is still there, I should very much like to have it. Thanks.
