East Riding General Hospital

I would like to hear from any friends / nurses who worked at the East Riding General hospital with me many years ago.

Anyone know of Yvonne Horsefield, Pip Allison, Margaret Grandage, Jeannie
Ogley any others who remembers me as known then as Patsy Hoe. It was about 1960.

I started my nursing carreer at Driffield as a cadet nurse. friends I remmember Sr. Wright a wonderful lady in the Alfred Bean. A Sr Baker who was from the army and very scarey. Mrs Tindale a Physio, Mr Rushton a porter. Sr Cuthbertson on a female elderly ward sister. Sr Smith home sister who was very nasty. We wore a blue and white striped dress about 18'' off the floor and black stockings because of the 60's winclepickers were all the rage that curled up at the toe.I have a photo of me at 16 yrs and I look like a nursing goblin! I went onto do my SRN in Hull with Sandie Mc Caige another cadet nurse and further training in Leeds-retired from nursing in 2005

I have a couple of aunts who did their training at the old East Riding General and most of the female side of my extended family have worked there at various times in some capacity or other. I still have relatives who work at Alfred Bean.I'm the black sheep who although passed exams etc to train as a nurse, backed out and followed a different path.
