I knew a Joyce Jenkinson very well - if it's the same one you knew doug - is it the same Joyce that had one older sister and two brothers?

I knew her when I was stationed at driffield from 1958 until 1962,her father worked at the base as a civilian driver, alf was
his name, joyce used to go into the Black Swan, in those days
Henry Macks(landlord of the black Swan) had a son who had a band
which used to play upstairs in the weekends, you could always find
joyce there,if I remember rightly her brother in law played the drums in the band,I'd love to have a chin wag with her again

I'm terribly sorry to have to tell you Doug that Joyce died a couple of years ago. Both her brothers and her sister have also now passed away and are all buried in the cemetery in Driffield.

I was very saddened to hear that Joyce Jenkinson had died. Very sad news!
I knew Joyce in the early sixtied while stationed at RAF Driffield, she was always upstairs at the Mucky Duck, or the Black Swan, which ever you prefer. She was a lovely person, always pleasant, bright and cheery and good company.
RIP Joyce
