Jacksons/ Grandways Supermarket

Postby grinwolf » Tue Dec 22, 2015 8:09 pm

Who remembers Jackson's supermarket in Middle street south, were Iceland is now?
Does any one remember the previous two stores in Market Place? The main one which was a small supermarket and in the 1960's the only supermarket - no alcohol licence, Jakco's other branch across the street had one.
The supermarket in Market place was on part of the site of Yorkshire traders(correct me if I am wrong) - the other side of it was next to the Midland Bank.
Anyone out there who worked in any of the shops during 1960's up to the closure in 199?
